The Bowen Technique is a gentle, safe & effective therapy for many conditions such as sciatica, back pain, frozen shoulder, neck problems, migraines and asthma. It can also help with colic in babies and conditions such as autism, adhd and dyspraxia in children.
The treatment works by gently stimulating muscles in the body which, in turn, sends messages to the brain. These instruct the body to heal itself, meaning that even after the session has finished the healing process continues. Three treatments are often enough to achieve lasting relief from pain although for some conditions further treatments may be required.
Due the gentleness of Bowen it is safe for tiny babies up to ninety year olds with conditions such as osteoporosis or arthritis.
Caroline Percy MBTER became one of the first fully qualified UK Bowen Therapists in 1995. She discovered Bowen after suffering with back pain for many years following a motorbike accident at 19.
