My name is Victoria Gray and I am a practising Osteopath and Aromatherapist working in the Colchester area. I qualified as an Osteopath and Naturopath in 2004 and have more recently become qualified in Aromatherapy. I am fully insured and registered to practice.

I am especially interested in offering a holistic approach to health and well-being. Osteopathy is a holistic therapy specialising in treating musculo-skeletal problems, in particular low back pain and joint disorders. It offers a whole-person approach, looking for the root cause of a problem. So you will be assessed physically and questions may be asked about your health in general. Using massage, joint mobilisation, manipulation and stretching, with the addition of advice and exercises given to help improve your complaint.

Cranial Osteopathy is another treatment approach, it is the gentle manipulation in particular of the skull to aid in cerebo-spinal fluid flow which in turn has an effect on the body as a whole. It can be of benefit especially to babies suffering with colic and those babies who are aggitated and restless. This treatment can also be beneficial to those suffering migraines and for those wanting a more gentle approach.

Aromatherapy is the therapeutic use of aromatic Essential oils. These essential oils are plant derived and they each have their own therapeutic properties. For example Lavender Essential Oil is known to most as being a sedative and beneficially to those suffering with insomnia. Massage is the most common application method and the Essential oils are absorbed into the body. Stress associated conditions are especially benefited by this approach. I only use Organic Essential Oils.
